
Prosecutor: Camden, NJ, Woman Charged For Fatally Shooting Ex-boyfriend
A woman from Camden has been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly fatally shooting her ex-boyfriend.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says 31-year-old Shanika Gideon killed 35-year-old Kyle Wilson of Mantua on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 28th.
At around 6:30, Camden County Police Department officers were alerted to a shooting victim at South 8th and Morgan Streets in Camden.
Officers found the victim, later identified as Wilson, who was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead just minutes later.
Gideon was taken into custody Monday afternoon in Flemington by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.
She was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a future date in superior court.
