Vote for This Week’s Athlete of the Week [9/18]
With the fall sports season underway across South Jersey, it's time to debut the new-look High School Athlete of the Week awards, powered by Prime Events.
Each week we'll feature local student-athletes who have excelled on their respective fields. We'll then put it up to a vote and let you decide which athlete deserves the title of 97.3 ESPN High School Athlete of the Week.
You can cast your vote below as many times as you'd like, and then you can hear the winner announced live on the South Jersey Sports Report with new host, Mike Frankel every Saturday morning beginning at 9:00.
Rob Ennis, Football, Millville - The Purdue-bound, hard-nosed senior kicked off the season by breaking his own school record, amassing 315 rushing yards in a win over Mainland.
Jordan Allegretto, Field Hockey, Ocean City - The junior has 10 goals through 3 games for the undefeated Red Raiders.
Steve Tobolski, Soccer, Vineland - One of the top high school soccer players in the country, the senior has scored 11 goals through the Fighting Clan's first 5 games.
Khalil Williams, Football, Camden - The 5'9'' senior threw 5 touchdowns and ran one in himself, guiding the Panthers to a season opening win in the West Jersey Football League.
Tess Fisher, Tennis, Vineland - The freshman phenom won the Cumberland County singles title and is 5-0 in team matches for the Fighting Clan. She's also ranked 19 in the Mid-Atlantic's Top 20.
A'Laam Horne, Football, St. Joseph - The junior ran for 2 touchdowns and caught another one from his twin brother in St. Joe's dominating, season-opening win against St. Augustine Prep.
