Two teenagers are facing charges, including attempted murder, in connection with two separate shootings in Camden County.

Shooting in Lindenwold

Prosecutors say on the night of October 2nd, officers from the Lindenwold Police Department responded to the 100 block of Blackwood-Clementon Road for a report of a person who had been shot.

At the scene, cops found a gunshot victim, a 23-year-old man, who had been shot during a robbery. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

During an investigation, authorities say they identified two 18-year-old Camden residents, Shamil Ceaser, Jr., and Abdul Tatum, as suspects.

Shooting in Camden

Meanwhile, the Camden County Police Department was investigating a separate shooting that occurred in Camden on September 10th.

In that case, a home on the 1200 block of Dupont Street had been struck by gunfire. The residence was occupied at the time, but no injuries were reported. During that investigation, detectives identified the same men as suspects.

Charges Filed in Both Cases

On October 9th, both Ceaser and Tatum were each charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree robbery, and related weapons offences in the Lindenwold shooting.

Days later, the pair was also charged with second-degree aggravated assault, second-degree attempted aggravated assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and additional weapons offenses in the Camden shooting.

Suspects Taken Into Custody

Ceaser and Tatum were taken into custody in Camden on October 14th by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, and they were remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
