Galloway Man Charged With Threatening Shooting at ACIT
A man from Galloway Township is in jail after making that threat against Atlantic County Institute of Technology in Mays Landing on social media last week.
The Press of Atlantic City reports that the man was arrested Monday for posting the threat on Instagram on Nov 21. The threat was then re-posted on Snapchat, according to The Press of Atlantic City, before being reported to the school by a student.
Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler announced the arrest Monday, saying that the Sheriff's Office and the Hamilton Township Police Department had stationed additional personnel at ACIT on Friday and Monday to ensure students safety.
The man is being housed in the Atlantic County Jail after being charged with terroristic threats, false public alarm, and child endangerment.
