LINDENWOLD — Two infants were found dead in a South Jersey apartment on Wednesday morning.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office said police responded to a 911 call for two children under the age of 1 who were found unresponsive in Lindenwold. No other information was found. Their gender was not disclosed by the prosecutor's office.

But CBS Philly reported a woman frantically called 911 and said her 7-month-old twins were not breathing.

According to that report, the woman said the babies were unresponsive in their cribs and that they were purple. It said the woman was heard doing CPR on the babies.

A neighbor told New Jersey 101.5 the infants were girls.

6 ABC Action News reported the infants were found after 8 a.m. in the 5100 building of the Pines Apartment complex on Bilper Avenue in Lindenwold.

A neighbor told the Courier Post, the mother appeared distraught as police carried large paper bags out of the apartment.

This is a breaking story. Check back for additional details.
