Authorities in South Jersey arrested two men on charges related to child sexual abuse material after investigations by local and federal agencies.

Investigations conducted by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, the Gloucester Township and Camden County Police Departments, the Camden County Sheriff's Office, and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations led to 38-year-old Jeffrey Mauer, Jr., of Gloucester Township and 22-year-old Mauricio Nemorio-Reyes of Camden being taken into custody last month.

Jeffrey Mauer, Jr., of Gloucester Township Arrested

Mauer, Jr., was charged on December 5th with second-degree Distribution of CSAM (child sexual abuse material), second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute CSAM, and third-degree Possession of CSAM.

Authorities say a tip led detectives to an online account used to possess and distribute CSAM and during the investigation, they identified Mauer as the user of the account. Additionally, a forensic search of his cell phone allegedly revealed CSAM. He was arrested in Gloucester Township on December 5th and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.

Mauricio Nemorio-Reyes of Camden Arrested

Mauricio Nemorio-Reyes was charged on December 29th with second-degree Distribution of CSAM, second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute CSAM, and third-degree Possession of CSAM.

Like the previous case, a tip led officials to an online account used to possess and distribute CSAM and detectives say they identified Nemorio-Reyes as the user. Nemorio-Reyes was arrested in Camden on December 29th and also remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
