Hamilton Twp. Police Arrest Man in Bizarre Hit and Run

An Egg Harbor Township couple can rest a little more comfortably knowing that an arrest has been made in a scary situation they were involved in last weekend.

Ryan and Lori McHale were driving near the intersection of Tilton and Wrangelboro Roads in Hamilton Township last Saturday night when they were the victims of a hit-and-run accident.

According to Lori, "A Ford F150 gray/tan with black racing stripes down middle and black flames on sides (see pictures) hit us, then kept pushing us, then backed us and hit us again, backed up and took off. We followed him while I was on phone with Mays Landing dispatcher. He knew we were following him, he turned into development on Alexander Drive. Then he turned down a street with cul-de-sac sac."

Police tried to catch up with the driver, but called off a pursuit as it was going into residential areas.

Now, Lori McHale tells us an arrest has been made in the case by the Hamilton Township Police Department.

According to news posted on BreakingAC.com, the person arrested in the case is Elroy Harrington, 53. He's been charged with eluding by flight, obstruction and numerous motor vehicle offenses. He was released on a summons, under bail reform.
